Quang Binh: begin construction of Song Thai water reservoir project
(Quang Binh Website) - On April 29, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province held a groundbreaking ceremony of the project of Song Thai water reservoir. So far, this is the largest scale project, which is invested by the province with total expense of nearly VND80 billion.
The project of Song Thai water reservoir has a capacity of 5.8 million cubic meter of water; main canal line is over 3 km in length and exploited in two communes of Quang Kim and Quang Tien (Quang Trach district). Once completed and put into use, the Song Thai water reservoir will have capacity to supply for 227 ha of winter-spring rice and 252 ha of summer-autumn rice together with 56 ha of industrial crops; simultaneously supply for Hon La Industrial Zone and etc. It is expected till 2010 that the project of Song Thai water reservoir will be put into use.
