Vice-chairman Nguyen Dang works in Le Thuy district

(Quang Binh Website) - In the morning of November 04 2009, Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dang had a working session with Le Thuy district on implementing the socio-economic plan of 2009 and the socio-economic development plan of 2010. Vice-chairman Nguyen Dang was accompanied by representatives of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Departments of Planning and Investment, Finance and Tax.

According to report of Le Thuy district, despite of meeting many difficulties, the district's economic growth rate in October achieved 9.8% (the plan: 12-12.5%); economic structure of agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 40% (the plan: 39%), industry - construction: 27% (the plan: 26%) and service: 33% (the plan: 35%); the yearly total food output was 83,226 tons (the plan: 82,500 - 83,000 tons); budget receipts in October achieved over VND48 billion (the plan: VND40,400 million); average income per capita in 2009 was estimated to achieve VND10.5 million/year (the plan: VND10.5-VND11 million); 210 temporary houses were deleted for poor households; nearly 3,000 laborers were solved jobs; rate of poor households decreased by 3,83% against the year 2008; 15 cultural villages and 20 cultural units were recognized; rate of undernourished children under five years old decreased by 24.0%; rate of households using hygienic water achieved 72% (the plan 70-75%).

The report also proposed main socio-economic targets of 2010, pointed out difficulties in the fields and put forward the ideas to overcome difficulties in order to complete the socio-economic plan of 2010.

Addressing the working, Vice-chairman Nguyen Dang praised the results that Le Thuy district obtained in the implementation of socio-economic plan in 2009 and ordered the district to focus on solving the existing matters in 2009 and strive to achieve the planned targets of 2010. For the district's suggestions, Vice-chairman Nguyen Dang asked related departments and agencies to consult the provincial People's Committee for settlement.
