Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the 5H Organization

(Quang Binh Website) – On the afternoon of August 11, 2010, the Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the non-governmental organization of 5H Children’s Oasis E.V (5H Organization for short) of the Federal Republic of Germany to listen the report on the Project “World Children’s Oasis in Quang Binh” and receive the donation for the provincial Fund for Agent Orange/dioxin Victims and construction of house of gratitude for poor households in the province. Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Cong Thuat presided over the working.

Attending the working was Mr. Huber Michael, President of the 5H Organization, members of the 5H Organization and representatives of related departments and branches.

Receiving donation from President of the 5H Organization

The 5H Organization was established in February of 2009, aiming at healthcare and education for poor and orphan children; construction of the centers for caring and educating orphan children. In order to achieve this goal, Quang Binh (Vietnam) is selected as the first and unique place to build the “World Children Oasis in Quang Binh” with the aim of bringing up and educating for 200 orphan and abandoned children comprehensively. The “World Children’s Oasis in Quang Binh” has a total area of 100 ha and is built in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city. This will be a complex, including areas for studying, recreation, park, dwelling-house, trade and service… The total investment for the project is estimated at about USD10 million and will be carried out from 2010 to 2015.

Addressing the working, Vice-chairman Tran Cong Thuat expressed his thanks to the 5H Organization for their sentiments to Quang Binh province. Chairman also briefly informed the 5H Organization’s members of natural condition, socio-economic situation, potentials for development of economy and tourism of the province. Chairman acknowledged the ideas of President of the 5H Organization and the presented content of the Project “World Children’s Oasis in Quang Binh” and highlighted that the province will study and create condition for the 5H Organization to carry out the project.

On the occasion of the “Day for Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Vietnam”, the 5H Organization donated VND50 million to the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/dioxin Victims and provided VND200 million to build four houses of gratitude to the disadvantaged families in the province.
