Under the investment agreement, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group selected Quang Binh as a key region to develop material areas in the 2012-2015 period. After carrying out an initial field survey, the group decides to invest in cotton-growing as a pilot model with an area of about 200 hectares in Sen Thuy commune, Le Thuy district.

Besides, the group will also help the Ha Quang Garment Enterprise to extend its scale, contributing to providing jobs for over 2,000 laborers.

Speaking at the meeting, PPC Chairman highly appreciated investment cooperation of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group and pledged that the province would create all favorable conditions for implementation of the projects in Quang Binh.

Chairman also suggested some locations for cotton-growing and expansion of the Ha Quang Garment Enterprises.

After being approval for selecting investment location, PPC Chairman asked the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group to make an investment report for submission to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party's Committee to implement the project in early 2013.
