Report on socio-economic situation and State budget estimate in first half of 2015 approved

(Quang Binh Portal) – The Provincial People’s Committee on June 16 held a conference to approve the Report on implementation of socio-economic tasks and State budget estimate for the first half of the year, main tasks and solutions for the second half of the year. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presided over the conference.

In the first six months of 2015, the province’s socio-economic situation has seen positive changes and obtained important results in all fields. Concretely, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 6.9%, value of agro-forestry and fishery production rose 3.6%, spring-winter crop production reached over 200 tons, exceeded 4.38% against the plan, equal to 100.09% against the same period last year; industrial production value grew by 9.3%, services by 8.5%; budget revenues were estimated at VND1,389.5 billion; rate of communes, wards and townlets meeting national standards on health was 68.5%; rate of poor households reduced by 2%. Many positive changes have been seen in culture and society, national defence and social security, contributing to improving the people’s spiritual and material life.

At the conference, participants agreed to the draft report on implementation of socio-economic tasks and State budget estimate for first half of 2015, main tasks and solutions for second half of 2015 and discussed and contributed their ideas to activities in tourism, services, transport and so on.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highlighted some main tasks in the coming time with a focus on summer-autumn crop production, forest protection and fire prevention, accelerating the progress of implementation of key projects, successfully organzing Quang Binh exhibition fair, cave festival and investment promotion and tourism popularization conference.
