Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee closed the meeting

In 2017, with the guidelines and directions of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee together with the great efforts made by all levels and agencies, people and enterprises, the province's socio-economic situation has seen many positive changes.

According to the reports, 18 out 21 main targets were estimated to achieve and exceed the plan, of which economic growth rate reached 6.7% (the plan 6.5%); agro-forestry and fishery production value reached 6.2% (the plan 3.5%); GRDP per capita reached VND 33.7 million (the plan VND 31million); State budget revenue reached VND 3,350 billion (the plan VND 3,250 billion), etc.

At the meeting, participants also discussed on some main socio-economic targets in 2018 and solutions to deal with difficulties to effectively implement the tasks for 2018.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee stressed that in 2018, the related departments and branches should mobilise all resources to promote economic growth, pay attention to quality of growth to achieve sustainable targets and improve competitiveness of the economy.

He asked the units to focus on solving difficulties for the enterprises to speed up business and production activities, develop services and tourism, strengthen investment attraction, attach special importance to the urban management and planning; promote agro, forestry and fishery development.

In addition, Secretary aslo asked related agencies to focus on direction of implementing key projects, solving site clearance, actively popularsing local tourism and effectively exploiting international and domestic air routes, furthering administrative reform and anti-corruption, improving ability of management, ensuring network safety and security
