Attending the meeting was Mrs. Pham Thi Bich Lua, Standing Vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and leading representative of related departments, branches and organizations in the province.

In 2007, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front at all levels held many meaningful activities in the whole people, namely: movement for supporting "For poor people" Fund, "Den on dap nghia" Fund, deleting thatched cottages for poor households; helping disaster-prone people; mobilizing the movement "People consolidate to build cultural life in residential areas.... and got the encouraging results. Concretely, collected VND 1,863.7 million for the "Den on dap nghia" Fund; built 385 "Great Unity" houses; established 16 residential areas for criminal prevention, 9 models of communes and wards having no drugs and prostitutions and 1,814 reconciliatory groups with effective activities. Besides, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front also promoted the inspection of the implementation of the State policies on settlement of complaints and denouncements.

Its orientations for 2008 is that the Vietnamese Fatherland Front at all levels needs to strengthen close coordination with local authorities and other organizations to well implement the emulation movements, consolidate the organization and renovate the method of activity; well implement the role to be a political base of the people's power, contributing to building a firm political system. Concurrently, continue to propagandize and mobilize the people consolidate to build cultural life in the residential areas; effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and law of the State; speed up the emulation movements for the socio - economic development, ensure national defence and security, social safety and order in each locality; reinforce and strengthen the organization and renovate the method of activity at grass-root levels.

Addressing the meeting, Vice-chairwoman Pham Thi Bich Lua praised the achievements that the Vietnamese Fatherland Front at all levels obtained in the past time and hoped that all levels would try their best to complete the planned targets and tasks in 2008. On behalf of the provincial leader, she also reported some obtained indicators on the provincial socio - economic development in 2007.
