This was a part of activities to welcome the 16th Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure.

Cutting ribbon to open foreign service information facility at the Cha Lo International Border Gate

The 3.5 million VND (159,000 USD) project is carried out by the Project Management Board for the National Target Program. The project is equipped with modern facilities, aiming to assist dissemination work for foreign service information at the border gate area.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of MIC Truong Minh Tuan stressed the foreign service information facility aims to help disseminate the Party's guidelines, the State's laws and policies and Vietnam's foreign affairs policies as well as the country's traditional cultural values to neighboring countries, international friends and people in the far-flung and remote areas; raise the people's responsibility and awareness about protecting the country's border sovereignty and territories.

On behalf of provincial leader, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Hoang thanked for assistance of the MIC and praised the efforts of all related agencies and units in building and putting the foreign service information facility into operation in the area.

He said the project was a practical model, helping Quang Binh provide foreign and internal affairs news with a view to attracting domestic and foreign investors to the province.

Vice Chairman also asked relevant authorities to strengthen cooperation in management and operation works in a bid to increase the province's efficiency in the time and ahead.
