Implementing the provincial program and target till 2010, 100% of communes have electricity with 80% of number of villages using electricity in residential area. In order to achieve that target, the province has invested hundreds of billion to expand system of electricity to villages in mountainous areas; carried out the solar energy supply project for in remote and mountainous areas, which are not on the national power grid, namely communes of Tan Trach and Thuong Trach.

With the effort of all levels and branches, the whole province has so far had 159 out of 159 communes and wards having daily-life electricity, bringing up the total of households using electricity to 98.5%, increasing 0,22% against the year 2007. In far-flung and remote communes of Tan Trach and Thuong Trach (Bo Trach), seven solar energy generation units with the capacity of 1,766 Wp have been installed in some units and households. At present, the province is also implementing the solar energy supply project for 10 difficult mountain communes, which are not on the national power grid and the rural power project in 7 communes of two districts of Quang Trach and Tuyen Hoa.
