ECHO supports flood victims in Quang Binh
The European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) has donated 332 tonnes of rice as relief aid to victims of last year’s storm in the central province of Quang Binh.
The amount of rice will be allocated to over 3,500 households in 15 communes in the three districts of Le Thuy, Quang Trach and Tuyen Hoa through the Quang Binh Red Cross.
The ECHO has presented over 1,400 water filter jugs and nearly VND1 billion (roughly US$53,000) to storm victims in Le Thuy and Quang Trach districts, while it has provided 78 tonnes of fertilizer and training courses on farming techniques for 1,800 households in Tuyen Hoa district.
