Music Festival for North Central Region opens
The 16th Music Festival in the North Central Region opened in Dong Hoi city, the central province of Quang Binh yesterday.

The festival provides opportunities for nearly 200 musicians, artists and singers from six provinces in the region, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue, to meet, exchange ideas and perform to the public.
The event, co-organised by the Vietnam Musician’s Association and Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee, aims to honour talent in the field of music and encourage innovation in musical composing, performing, constructive criticisim and training.
Under the framework of the festival, a conference on improving professionalism in composing and performing music will also be held, along with performances of new compositions of the musicians in the region.
