Quang Binh, Khammouane sign cooperative agreement for 2013-2014

(Quang Binh Website) - The Special Working Committees of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces on September 8th held a meeting to review implementation of their tasks of seeking and gathering remains of martyrs in recent years and sign a cooperative agreement in the 2013-2014 dry season.

In the period of 2012-2013, the search team 589 of the Quang Binh provincial Military Headquarters in cooperation with the Party, government and people of Khammouane province (Laos) has sought and gathered 50 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the war in the Lao battlefield to rebury at Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery, Quang Binh province, reaching 200% compared with the set target.

At the meeting, two sides discussed and agreed to sign a cooperative agreement on seeking and gathering remains of Vietnamese martyrs, voluntary soldiers and experts during the 2013-2014 dry season.

On this occasion, the Special Working Committee of Quang Binh province handed over 16 sets of remains of Lao students to the Special Working Committee of Savanakhet province.
