Overall planning workshop for phase III of Technical Cooperation Phong Nha - Ke Bang Region Project
According to the Summary Record of the Inter-governmental Negotiations on Development Cooperation of Vietnam and Germany, the phase III (final phase) of the Technical Cooperation PNKB Region Project is committed with up to 2,0 million Euro. The project's duration is from October 2013 to September 2015.
The overall objective of phase III is that the approaches and learning experiences in integrated nature conservation in the PNKB region are used for local management and national policy-making.
This phase will focus on its implementation in the four following working areas, including biodiversity date management and monitoring systems, livelihood models that integrate biodiversity, trans-boundary cooperation between PNKB National Park and Hin Nam No National Biodiversity Conservation Area in Laos and experiences and lessons learnt for policy making processes for biodiversity.
Addressing the workshop, Head of PSC Tran Van Tuan highly evaluated the support of GIZ for Quang Binh province in the past time, especially the implementation of PNKB Region Project. He asked all relevant agencies, units and localities to actively cooperate and effectively implement the phase III of the project.
