In 2017, the total number of projects funded by foreign NGOs was 42 projects, including 30 new projects and 12 transit projects with a total committed capital of USD 2,395,626; total disbursed capital was USD 3,450,190.

The projects mainly focused on six fields of health, education - training, socio-economic development, natural resources and environment; dealing with social issues and other fields.

In the past time, Quang Binh province has actively strengthened attraction of foreign non-governmental aids; work of disbursement has achieved a high efficiency with 24 out of 30 projects disbursed in 2017; transit projects have contributed to improve a living standard for poor people, person with disability and difficult children in the project-benefited areas.

In 2018, Quang Binh will continue speeding up mobilisation of foreign NGOs for humanitarian projects in the province; boosting relations with foreign NGOs operating in the locality; expanding cooperative relations with other potential NGOs in order to implement aid projects in accordance with the orientations for socio-economic development and poverty alleviation policy of the province.

In addition, the province will strengthen management and supervision of the operations of foreign NGOs; further international relations, maintain good relationship with international organizations and agencies of foreign affairs in Vietnam; call upon foreign non-governmental aids in the province's priority fields such as health, education - training, dealing with social affairs, socio-economic development and resources - environment.
