In the first six months of 2010, nearly all socio-economic targets achieved the plan and reached a higher growth rate than the same period. Economic growth rate reached 14.2%; the production value for industry – construction was estimated at VND913.219 million, up to 18.4% as compared with the same period; services up to 16.3%; agro - forestry – fishery up to 4.6%; export turnover was estimated at USD26,810 thousand, reached 48.7% of the plan; total of budget revenue was estimated at VND101 billion, reached 54.9% of city’s forecast. Rate of poor households reduced by 2.3%; solving jobs to 3,150 laborers, reached 48.4% of the yearly plan; 87.5% of communes and wards reached national standards on health…

The session also spent much time to discuss and contribute the ideas to socio-economic development plan in the second six months of 2010 and answered questions of delegates and voters.

Delegates also voted to approve Resolution on socio-economic development task in the second six months of 2010.
