Quang Tri provincial delegation visits and works in Thailand
From July 29th to 31st, 2026, a delegation from Quang Tri Province, led by Mr. Truong An Ninh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, paid a working visit to Ubon Ratchathani Province, Kingdom of Thailand, and attended the 2026 Traditional Buddhist Candle Festival.

As part of the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the leaders of Ubon Ratchathani Province. Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the increasingly close relationship between Quang Tri Province and Ubon Ratchathani Province, and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of economic development, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

The delegation also attended a cultural and artistic performance program and the 2026 Traditional Buddhist Candle Festival procession. The festival is a long-standing annual event organized by Ubon Ratchathani Province to preserve its unique cultural heritage and pray for prosperity.

Beyond its significance as a meaningful external relations activity, the visit also contributed to strengthening the friendship and solidarity between Quang Tri Province and Ubon Ratchathani Province, as well as between Viet Nam and Thailand, while further promoting the image of Quang Tri’s land and people to the international community.
