Located in Truong Son commune, Quang Ninh district, Ben Tiem region was selected as a base of Quang Ninh district and Quang Binh province during the war of resistance against the French colonialists.

Ben Tiem base marked many significant historical events in the process of development of the district and the province. This base hosted the 2nd and 3rd Party Congress of Quang Ninh district and the 3rd Party Congress of Quang Binh province.

Nowadays, Ben Tiem base is not only a relic, marking many historical events, it is also considerd as an attractive destination for tourists to Quang Binh with many interesting experience in harmony with the nature.
