The project of S&D garment factory was started construction on May 7th, 2014 with a total investment of 196 billion dongs. The project was officially put into operation for its first phase from July 25th, 2014 with a capacity of 2.6 million products per year and its second phase from February of 2017 with a capacity of 6.5 million products per year, attracting more than 2,000 laborers in Quang Ninh and neighboring areas.

After three years of operation, the factory has currently 16 sewing lines, 02 cutting, 02 lines of ironing and packing.

In the nine months of 2017, the factory produced 1,731.272 products, reached 85.7% from the plan, increased by 29.4% from the same period last year. Turnover was estimated at 2,704.306 USD, reached 88.2% from the plan, grew by 21.6% from the same period last year.

At present, the Company has 827 laborers who are mainly living in Quang Ninh district. Average income is over 4.8 milion dongs/person/month, reached 97.1% from the plan and rose by 17% of the same period last year. 5,836 million dongs was collected in social insurrance.

It is expected in 2018, the Company will strive to reach 5,710,000 products and its turnover of 7,423,000 USD; attract 1,750 laborers; contribute 7.5 billion dongs to State budget and 8.5 billion dongs to social insurrance; achieve an average income of 6 million dongs/person/month.

However, the Company has met a lot of difficulties in employment recruitment and arrangement of accommodation and kindergarten for workers.

At the meeting, participants discussed measures to solve difficulties in employment recruitment, construction of collective house and kindergarten for laborers.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the obtained results in the factory's business and production as well as job creation for rural laborers.

In the upcoming time, Chairman asked Quang Ninh district to assist the S&D Quang Binh Company in employment recruitment; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to support vocational training for laborers; related agencies and localities to create favorable conditions to seek location for construction of housing and kindergarten for laborers.

Besides, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also asked the Company to pay attention to the material and spiritual life for laborers, etc.
