(Quang Binh Website) – In order to contribute to help flood hit people overcome difficulties and quickly resume their life after heavy damages caused by natural calamity, the Vietnam Central Red Cross Society, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications and the Vietnam Multimedia Corporation (VTC) held a fund raising program by sending texts to 1405 and 1409 to support for flood victims.

Specifically, flood people in Quang Binh have been donated 173 tonnes of rice, 400 breeding cows (worth VND7 million each) and 100 houses (VND30 million each), estimated a total value of VND8.2 billion. The number of relief rice have been so far received and delivered to flood victims. Under the plan, 400 breeding cows will be delivered to flood people after Lunar New Year.

On January 22, the first house was inaugurated and handed over to family of Mr Le Manh Hai in Van Xa village, Phu Thuy commune, Le Thuy district to put into use.

It is expected that nearly 50% of houses will be inaugurated and handed over to families to put into use before Lunar New Year 2011.
