Dong Hoi city deploys the plan for 2009
In 2008, the city economic growth rate achieved 14.1%, budget receipts increased by 3% against the plan. National defence and security have been consolidated; infrastructure has been improved; many big changes have been seen in social and cultural fields.
In order to implement the success of the plan for 2009, the city need to focus on implementing measures on socio-economic development; upgrading and expanding the park in Nhat Le riverside, improving Ho Thanh park; concurrently deploying some plans to prepare for the five-year anniversary of Dong Hoi city’s establishment.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman asked the city to speed up the progress of building key projects namely Nhat Le riverside park, Ho Thanh park and pavement in Tran Hung Dao street; focus on site clearance for key projects; pay much attention to the development of handicraft industries and traditional trade village to create more jobs for the people in the areas where was revoked agricultural land; have preferential policies to attract investment and promote the development of tourism industry.
