Quang Binh - Savannakhet: sign an agreement on border cooperation for 2013

Quang Binh and Savannakhet share a border line with a length of 20 km. Two provinces have remained a good cooperation relationship in national defence, security and border activities over the past time. Two sides have regularly held a periodic meeting to discuss on border protection; paid attention to mobilize capital source to build infrastructures and promote socio-economic development of each province.
In 2012, border route between two provinces has been maintained stably; political security, social safety and order have been upheld.
At the talk, two sides spent time on discussion to exchange views on border patrol, landmark protection, crime prevention and economic development in border areas, and put forward orientations for cooperation in the coming time.
Speaking at the talk, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial People's Committee agreed on border cooperation between two provinces in the coming time and asked relevant agencies of two provinces to have a close combination to ensure national defence and security and promote soico-economic development in border areas.
On the same day, two sides signed an agreement on border cooperation for 2013.
