In the past days, torrential rains flooded in many areas in Bo Trach district. At Son Trach, Xuan Trach, Hung Trach and Phuc Trach communes, hundreds of houses were submerged in the water; hundred of thousands of residents are suffering from shortage of food and water; many areas were isolated completely in these days.

In this situation, Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh asked related agencies to provide relief to affected residents to ensure that none of them will suffer from thirst and starvation; mobilize all of their staff and means to rescue victims; evacuate people to safer regions, send food and drink and relief aid to people in flooded areas, provide medical aid to the injured, and maintain dykes; launch patrols in affected areas and guide locals for safe travel; take measures to prevent floods, ensuring safety for local people.

It was known that the Provincial People’s Committee, Public Security, Red Cross and Bo Trach district donated nearly 1,000 boxes of instant noodles, 60 boxes of drinking water and 10 boxes of dry food to communes of Son Trach, Xuan Trach, Hung Trach and Phuc Trach.
