In the past flood, Quang Ninh district had 3 people dead, 16,500 houses of residents were collaspsed, 4 traffic roads were broken… with estimated damages and losses of over VND 162 billion. As of the water is receding, the district’s leaders and units urgently carried out measures to overcome the consequences of the flood and gave relief to local people.

Chairman and his delegation sent condolences and granted gifts to families in The Loc village (Tan Ninh commune) and paid a visit to family of Truong Van Tam who had had his son Truong Van Tinh (3 years old) dead in the past flood.
Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai asked Quang Ninh district to promptly send relief to residents; mobilise local people to clean environmental hygiene to prevent disease occurrence, and quickly resume their lives.
* On the same day, Permanent Vice-chairman Tran Cong Thuat paid a visit to direct work of overcoming the consequences of the flood in Le Thuy district and visited the Pre-school in Phong Thuy commune.
Vice-chairman Tran Cong Thuat asked related departments and branches to promptly held people overcome flood aftermath; the district need to take the initiative in all work to quickly stabilize the people’s life.
In this phase, the Provincial People’s Committee distributed 1,500 boxes of instant noodles and 50 jugs of drinking water to Quang Ninh and Le Thuy district.
