PROJECT OF CONSTRUCTON OF HON LA PORT FOR 50,000 TON SHIPS IN BONDED WAREHOUSE AND OIL PIPELINE  SYSTEM TO LAOS

1. Location of the project

Hon La Seaport Industrial Park in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province

2. Objectives of the project

- Construction of a seaport allowing the circulation of 50,000 ton ships.

- Construction of a bonded warehouse for port activities and import-export services.

- Construction of oil pipeline system from Hon La port to Khammouane province (Laos).

3. Scale of the project

Total land area: 37,45 hectares

- Items for construction:

+ Jetty system with its capacity for 50.000 ton and over ships.

+ The oil pipeline system from Hon La port to Khammouane (Laos): 130-150km + 4 pumping stations and stores.

+ Bonded warehouse in Hon La port with a capacity of 300,000-500.000m3

US$ 200 million

100% foreign direct investment

6. Effectiveness of the project

- Have the ability to bring high economic efficiency

- Contribute to economic connectivity between two provinces of Khammouane and Quang Binh.

- Strengthen the solidarity and friendship between two countries of Vietnam-Laos.

7. Natural conditions and current situations

- Hilly land has been completely cleared and compensated.

- Currently, 6  licensed projects are operating in Hon La Port Industrial Park.

- Existing Infrastructures: electricity and water supply have been invested fully.
