Department of Industry and Trade deploys plan for 2009
In 2008, despite of meeting many difficulties, the provincial agricultural production has achieved a fair growth rate. The total industrial production value was estimated reaching VND2,680 billion, equaling to 96% of the plan and increasing by 20% against the year 2007, of which state-owned industry achieved VND1,651 billion (up to 23%), non-state industry achieved VND975 billion (up to 18%), foreign-invested industry was estimated achieving VND54 billion (decreased by 10%). The total retail sales of goods and services achieved VND6,032 billion, increased by 41% as compared with the year 2007. Besides, the industrial and commercial enterprises contributed over VND203.6 billion to state budget, accounted for over 90% of the total budget revenues of the provincial enterprises.
Under the plan for 2009, the industrial and commercial sector focused on implementing some measures on development of production and business, improving effectiveness and competition of the enterprises; strengthening investment promotion and development of industry and commerce in the following periods; speeding up the progress of implementing investment projects.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the provincial People's Committee granted Certificate of Merit to some collectives and individuals who gained excellent achievements in the emulation movement for 2008.
