Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial War Veterans' Association attended and received the delegation.

At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai briefly informed of socio-economic achievements of the province in the past time.

He stressed the important role of the war veterans' association in the cause of the national liberation struggles and the Fatherland security protection as well as in the period of the nation construction.

Chairman hoped that the war veterans would uphold good tradition between the two nations and two provinces; continue promoting cooperation and exchanging experience, helping eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, improve the spiritual and material life of the members.

On behalf of the Lao delegation, Chairman of the War Veterans' Union of Khammouane province thanked for warm reception of leaders of Quang Binh province.

He expressed his hope that the friendships between Vietnam - Laos in general and Quang Binh - Khammouane provinces in particular would be further boosted in the coming time.
