MDF WOOD MANUFACTURING PLANT

1. Location of the project

Two locations are expected:

1. North West Quan Hau Industrial Park:

The project may be located at the Zone A of the North West Quan Hau Industrial Park in Luong Ninh commune, Quan Hau town, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province.

The project borders:

+ the 22.5m wide planned road to the East;

+ the 22.5m wide planned road to the North;

+ the 32m wide planned road to the South;

+ the North-South railroad to the West.

2. North Dong Hoi Industrial Park:

The project is situated in the North Dong Hoi Industrial Park which belongs to Ly Trach commune, Bo Trach district and Thuan Duc commune, Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province.

The project borders:

+ the National Road 1A at the Dong Hoi city bypass to the East;

+ 350 meters from the boundary of Ly Trach commune, Bo Trach district (adjacent to the pine forest) to the North;

+ Phan Dinh Phung street to the South;

+ the pine forest area within Ly Trach commune (Bo Trach district) and Thuan Duc commune (Dong Hoi city) to the West.

2. Purpose of the project

- The project aims at building a plant for manufacturing high-quality MDF/HDF wood products which can substitute for natural wood materials. Capacity: 240,000 cubic meter products per year.

- Address the output issues for the wood production planted in the province.

3. Scale of project

Total expected area: 40 hectares

Total estimated productivity: 240,000 cubic meter products per year

4. Total  estimated investment capital

VND 550 - 1,000 billion

5. Type of investment

Domestic investment; 100% foreign investment; joint venture investment

6. Expected effectiveness of project

Bring the high profit;

Take advantage of the availability of eucalyptus and acacia in the province and neighboring provinces;

Create jobs and improve the living standard for laborers. Contribute to increase in the province’s tax revenues.

7. Natural conditions and current situations of project

Topography: The sites are mainly hill land which has not been cleared yet;

Technical infrastructure:

A number of basic infrastructure categories such as the main traffic system, power and water supply have been invested in the North West Quan Hau Industrial Park;

The area surrounding the project has not been registered by any other projects yet.
