More than 825 outstanding and poor pupils awarded

(Quang Binh Website) - The Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with the Compassion International Taiwan (C.I) in Vietnam on July 29 held a ceremony to commend outstanding and poor pupils in 2012. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung and representatives of departments, units and localities attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, 825 outstanding and poor pupils at all levels were granted certificate of merit and rewards with a total value of over VND343 million. In addition, a special musical program was performed by the Quang Binh Children's House, the provincial Center for sponsoring children and SOS children's village.

This was a meaningful activity of Compassion International Taiwan to encourage and praise the studious spirit of disadvantaged pupils.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung highly valued the assistance of C.I organization for children in Quang Binh province and expressed his hope that these children will continue trying their best to study well at school and become useful citizens for the society.

On this occasion, the Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs awarded certificate of merit to three individuals of C.I organization for their excellent achievements.
