BAO NINH AMUSEMENT PARK FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS, DONG HOI CITY

1. Location for the project

- It belongs to the administrative zone  of Bao Ninh commune (Dong Hoi city) and Hai Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district)

- It is located at the centre of province, 500 km away from Ha Noi Capital to the South and 1.200 km from Ho Chi Minh City to the North.

- Location of the project is:

+ Borders the East Sea on the East;

+ Borders Vo Ninh - Bao Ninh road on the West;

+ Belongs to the administrative zone of Hai Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district) on the South.

+ Borders Bao Ninh resorts and coastal recreation areas on the North.

2. Purposes of the project

- Construct an international-level recreational area offering services for high-income tourists at the political and cultural center of the province.

- Create a new economic sector to diversify the types of tourism, contributing to changing face of the province and raising capacity to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

- Create an international trade waterway on yacht travel - a "bridge" to attract international financial exchange, a driving force to develop the province's tourism sector.

- Make breakthroughs in economic structure shifting towards accelerating economic growth rate to achieve the province's socio-economic development targets through 2020 and after 2020.

3. Scale and contents of the project

Total land area: about 200 - 250 hectares, including:

- Yacht port: Including 5 main items:

+ Item 1: A system of private resorts along the beach and island: a private multi-functional resort; a private jetty of resort; a high-grade mini yacht.

+ Item 2: A yacht assembly and maintenance factory, including: a jetty with automatic lifting, a yacht assembly factory; a sport product assembly factory (above and under water surface).

+ Item 3: Training school of human resources for marine and yacht.

+ Item 4: Port and international yacht club.

+ Item 5: A logistics center (Petrol station, small supermarket, restaurant, Bar, foodstuff).

- Construct high-ranking accommodations:  4-5 star hotels with 500 - 1,000 rooms.

- Outdoor recreation area:

+ Golf court;

+ Some sport activities on the beach.

4. Total estimated investment capital

1,500 - 2,000 billion dong

5. Expected effectiveness of the project

- Have the potentials to bring high profits

- Complete the development of eco-tourism network of the East of Bao Ninh

6. Major natural characteristics and current status of the project area

Topography: Situated along Bao Ninh and Hai Ninh beaches, about 500 - 800m wide from the seashore and about 5 - 6 km long along the coastline; terrain is relatively flat with low sandy hills.

Technical infrastructure:

- Vo Nguyen Giap street (60m wide) along the project area, 22KV electric network crossing the project area and water supply and drainage: guaranteed.

- Belong to Bao Ninh urban development master plan. The infrastructure system has been invested properly, especially transportation and electricity.

Current status:

- An unoccupied land with some areas covered with casuarinas, acacia auriculiformis and other kind of forest trees.

- Some areas are for raising sea products and other purposes.
