Bao Ninh eco-tourism area project, Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province

BAO NINH ECO-TOURISM AREA PROJECT, DONG HOI CITY, QUANG BINH PROVINCE

1. Location for the project

- Located at the centre of province, 500 km away from Ha Noi Capital in the South and 1.200 km from Ho Chi Minh City in the North.

- Planning location: From Nhat Le II Bridge to Bao Ninh commune

Borders the Eastern Sea on the East.

Borders Hai Ninh commune on the South

Borders 60 m wide road on the West

Borders the road to Nhat Le II Bridge on the North.

2. Purposes of the project

- Preserve and develop the ecological system

- Attract domestic and foreign tourists.

- Increase income source for the provincial budget.

3. Scale and contents of the project

The eco-tourism area's projected area: 50 hectares. There are:

- A Resort with 4-5 star standards and bungalows.

- Restaurants.

- Infrastructures of tourism area: Internal transportation, electricity, water supply and drainage; court system, roads, trees….

 - Amusement parks, swimming pool, tennis courts…

- Mud bath

4. Total estimated investment capital

500 - 800 billion dong

5. Expected effectiveness of the project

- Have the potential to bring high benefits

- Complete the development of eco-tourism network in the East of Bao Ninh commune.

6. Major natural conditions and current status of the project area

Topography:

- The location is adjacent to the sea, features big space and sufficient conditions for the implementation of the project.

- It is the coastal area along Bao Ninh and Hai Ninh beaches, about 500 - 800m wide and about 5 - 6 km long from the coastline.

- Terrain is relatively flat with low sandy hills along the coast

Technical infrastructures:

- Vo Nguyen Giap street (60m wide) and 22 KV electric network crossing the project area, water supply and drainage system: guaranteed. 
- Belongs to the master plan of Bao Ninh commune. The infrastructure system has been invested properly, especially transportation and electricity.

Current conditions:

- It is a vacant land area with some plants of casuarinas, acacia auriculiformis and other kinds of forest trees.

- Some areas are registered by the companies for aquaculture and other purposes, including:

+ Hung Bien Seafood Company: 20 hectares

+ Duc Thang Joint-stock Company: 30 hectares

+ Vinashine shrimp-raising farm: 30 hectares
